I was looking into the idea of using interactive media in schools to make young kids more interested in what was happening.
I decided to make a simulation of planetary positions in our solar system. I hoped to use the simulation to prove that it was possible to make something fun and at the same time being able to deliver the necessary information. Unfortunately, my simulation proved too big of a challenge as the math used to calculate planetary positions is way out of my league.
I did not want to see my work go to waste, so I decided to reuse everything and make a planetary size and distance comparison instead.
The project did not end up as planned, but I still think it was worth my time. I wish to revisit the subject of interactive media for education sometime again in the future.
